The Lasalle–Émard–Verdun NDP Association represents NDP members in our riding.
Members elect the executive committee, all volunteers, at each annual general meeting. The committee may also appoint interim advisors to fill vacancies between meetings.
Currently (since the 2026 AGM) the executive committee consists of:
- President: Benoît Hudson
- Vice-presidente: Laura Whelton
- Treasurer: Patrick Laurin
- Secretary: Dafydd Litwin
- Councilor, education and events: Christopher Trudeau
- Councilor, membership and fundraising: Alec McCrae; adjunct Sébastien Pantland Hyde
- Councilor, communications: Anthony Issa
- Councilor at large: Simon Malouin
Each position can have a deputy. There is also room for multiple councilors at large.
We invite members to contact us if you want to fill vacancies at any time, and to stand for any of the positions in the elections at each general meeting, even if you cannot attend the meeting. You do not need to live in LaSalle-Émard-Verdun to sit on our association board.
Equity, diversity, inclusion, and above all respect are the heart of our values and are codified in the constitution of our party. We particularly invite women, and people from a diverse range of backgrounds and communities to come and broaden the horizons of our committee.
Volunteering consists of a one-hour meeting per month (which occasionally lasts two hours), usually help virtually. Beyond that it is according to your ability and interest to get further involved.
